20 years of RIFTEC: a success story  

April 8th 2023 is the day: RIFTEC celebrates its anniversary

Friction stir welding has been our passion since the late 1990s. In 2003, the time had come: RIFTEC GmbH was founded and took friction stir welding of aluminium and other light metals from research to industrial application. Since then, we have steadily developed ourselves and friction stir welding and have grown significantly. We started as a small company - in the beginning even without our own FSW machine - and today we are a successfully operating company, market leader in friction stir welding and the largest supplier of FSW of industrial series components for all industrial sectors. RIFTEC has an impressive range of machinery now: single-axis and multi-axis welding equipment, we are able to do all kinds of mechanical processing, fusion welding and much more...

"When we started out, we had the vision of bringing friction stir welding into industrial use. I would never have imagined that this has now turned into a 20-year company history in this form. Especially because our history has had many ups and successes, but also a few failures and downs. So it is of course very fitting convenient that our anniversary year is currently developing very successfully.  I am very proud of our development and look forward to many more years to come," says Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Axel Meyer.
